From Temple Meads Station:

Walk down the Station Approach incline and at the bottom turn right into Temple Gate. Walk along to the large roundabout (Temple Circus). Cross over the first road (Pipe Lane) and take the second road (Temple Way), staying on the right hand pavement. Follow this road across a bridge over the river and then up to the next roundabout - which you will recognise by the dark-red Bristol Evening Post building on your right, on which the time and temperature are displayed.

Turn right into Old Market Street and walk along till you come to the next set of traffic lights (at a crossroads). Cross over Midland Road and then cross to the other side of West Street (the building on the corner is the Palace Hotel). About 50 yards along West Street you will see Gloucester Lane on the left. The Old Castle Green is the second building on the other side of Gloucester Lane.
